The Good News Singapore Evaluation
How do we evaluate your articles?
Our team of reviewers will read through your submitted article thoroughly, and we will attempt to see if you article fits the following criterions:
  • The story is about Good News.
  • The story touches on sensitive issues e.g. critisize government, personal attack on particular group (race, religion) or individuals.
  • The story is interesting and would appeal to young readers (e.g it is funny, heartwarming, original, contains a twist etc).
  • The story is well written.
  • The story appears to be an original piece of work.
  • All accompanying photos, pictures, drawings are relevant to the story.
In addition, we also evaluate your grammar. Below are some of the criterion that we will use:
  • The organisation of your essay is good, coherent, ordered logically and fully developed;
  • The sentence structure is complete and varied in form;
  • Word choice is appropriate;
  • Spelling, capitalisation and punctuation are correct;
  • Format and title are appropriate;

Each year, we will select wonderful articles from the list of published ones and print them into a book, and part of the money from the sales of these books will go to charity.
